⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sexy and emotional

One More Song

A story of two broken people who heal themselves together, One More Song is sexy and romantic. The writing draws you in and it’s easy to feel the desire between these two. While circumstances might keep them apart, nothing can stop the fire that burns from the moment they meet.

The story follows Ember, a single mom just trying to get by. She inherited a large estate that she’s trying to make a B&B, and a 3-month reservation means she’ll be able to support her daughter during that time. Unfortunately, the reservation happens to have been made for a rock band trying to write their next album. Ember has a complicated past, and being drawn to a musician is the last thing she wants – though something she knows will be impossible to avoid as soon as she meets Ash. He has his own complicated past and finds it so refreshing that Ember has no idea what that entails. As a rock star, Ash is used to a certain lifestyle, but he finds himself at home with Ember and her daughter. They know everything will change once the 3 months are up, and both fight not to break each other’s hearts in the meantime.

This is definitely a sexy and romantic book. I enjoyed it but never truly moved into “love” territory; I’m not sure exactly what held me back, but there was something missing. These two burn pretty hot right away, and maybe I missed that slow build into more – it’s all passion and heat without a ton of depth. The story moves quickly and feels complete. I’d definitely check out more books like this from Seabrook – this is a vast departure from the quick and dirty novellas I’ve seen her release recently.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
