⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Adorably humble hero

Mr. November: A Hero Romance (Calendar Boys, #11)

Why did I wait til November to check out this series? I really enjoyed this light, fast-paced, and sweet read. Rhett makes such a great humble hero – he was kind of adorable and swoon-worthy from the very beginning. It’s a quick read that stays mostly light but has a touch of suspense that keeps the pages turning.

The story follows Rhett, a lifeguard who loves his job. When he saves a young woman from drowning, he feels an instant connection to her unlike anything he’s experienced before. While Rhett often rescues people, there’s something about Libby that makes his protective instincts raise up to the next level. When they run into each other again, it seems like Rhett’s chance to pursue something with Libby – but she’s resisting the chemistry that sparks between them and Rhett can’t figure out what she’s hiding.

The writing here is great – if you’re looking for a quick and light book with low angst and a romance with nothing too explicit, then this is definitely worth a read. The characters are easy to like, and there’s an obvious attraction between them. It was perhaps a little to insta-love for my liking, but it’s a well developed story for such a short book and I really loved Rhett. I’ll definitely be checking out Mr. December!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
