You’re going to fall for this upcoming release from debut author Sarah Hogle! It’s everything I love about an enemies to lovers romance… with a twist. Told entirely from the heroine’s perspective, we see a relationship that was built on a shaky foundation start to crumble – and it isn’t a pretty sight. When you’re not honest with your partner from the beginning, it’s only a matter of time until cracks start to form in the relationship, and Hogle’s take on this engaged couple is absolutely unique.
It’s a great combination of humor and emotion, with some snort-worthy laughs mixed with scenes that will make your chest ache. Let’s just say that I read my ARC back in October (and have read literally hundreds of other books since), and I already knew that it’d be making my Top 20 of 2020.
You Deserve Each Other releases on April 7th, so be sure to add it to your TBR now – I’ve already preordered my copy! The blurb and preorder links are below. My full review will be coming next week (yes, it’s definitely 5 stars).
When your nemesis also happens to be your fiancé, happily ever after becomes a lot more complicated in this wickedly funny, lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy debut.
Naomi Westfield has the perfect fiancé: Nicholas Rose holds doors open for her, remembers her restaurant orders, and comes from the kind of upstanding society family any bride would love to be a part of. They never fight. They’re preparing for their lavish wedding that’s three months away. And she is miserably and utterly sick of him.
Naomi wants out, but there’s a catch: whoever ends the engagement will have to foot the nonrefundable wedding bill. When Naomi discovers that Nicholas, too, has been feigning contentment, the two of them go head-to-head in a battle of pranks, sabotage, and all-out emotional warfare.
But with the countdown looming to the wedding that may or may not come to pass, Naomi finds her resolve slipping. Because now that they have nothing to lose, they’re finally being themselves–and having fun with the last person they expect: each other.
Releases April 7th! If you’re intrigued, click on the link to the paperback and use the “Look Inside” feature on Amazon to read the prologue and first chapter. It took me a little bit to get a feel for the story (our heroine’s perspective isn’t always the most reliable), but once I did, I was all in!
