It was a busy release week with a little something for everyone! Lots of solid books came out, and a lot of them were STEAMY. There were several that I really enjoyed, and one new-to-me author who will be on my radar from now on.

If you missed any of the reviews, I’ve got the blurb and rating for each below. There’s also a link to my Best of March list, my Deals and Steals list, and a peek at what’s coming next week.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Light and steamy

One look and I know… this chick hates me.

I should walk away, find some puck bunny to gleefully sit on my lap and tell me what a big, hot, hockey stud I am–totally true, BTW. But there’s just something about this feisty redhead I can’t let go. She’s got an edge to her that’s sexy as hell and a smart mouth that’s been tying me up since the night I met her.

She tells me to forget it, we’re not happening. But this isn’t the kind of
woman a guy ever forgets. Especially when the air starts to sizzle and pop every time we get within ten feet of each other. She’s in my head and under my skin, and all I can think about is the way she looked at me that one time. Like she already knew how it could be between us.

I’m not the kind of guy a girl like her takes home… But maybe I want to be.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Steamy and sassy

This ain’t no love triangle.

This is people not knowing when to let fate do its thing.

Brody Tannen has been the boss for way too long, putting everyone’s needs above his own.

It’s the way his family farm stood while fate took shot after shot against them.

But now he’s got a chance to figure things out for himself.

Everyone keeps pushing him one way, but deep down he knows which way he should go.

Towards her… Erica Cole, the rough and rowdy woman that’s always been one of the guys.

Except to him.

Brody loves her inappropriate humor and smudges of grease on her cheeks.

He wants nothing more than to be the one who cracks her exterior shell to find the sweetness he’s sure is inside.

Erica Cole has been in a man’s world her entire life.

First in the military, and now, taking over her dad’s mechanic shop.

She’s not the sugar and spice girly type that guy’s normally go for.

She’s grease and engines, snark and bite, responsibilities and expectations.

So when Brody Tannen sets his sights on her, Erica doesn’t know how to handle it.

Not when everyone else thinks she’s destined for a man that does nothing for her.

Erica can’t say the same for the broody, cocky cowboy that saunters into the shop though.

Brody’s tall, dark, and won’t give up, which is a problem because Erica desperately wants to know what’s lurking beneath his hungry gaze.

Even if she should stay far away from the heat he promises.

They both know what they want, but can they stand strong against those who think they know better to get the happily ever after they deserve?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Steamy and emotional

He’s not your average Joe from the corner bar.

He’s the heir to the crown.

I should know, I’ve followed him for years.

Not in a stalkerish way.

Magazines and online gossip blogs are fair game when you’re royalty.

But I do know every detail about him, down to the brand of boxer briefs he wears.

All my studying of the man who plays a starring role in my dreams pays off when I win a dinner with him.

As if that wasn’t enough, he barters a deal with me that has him moving into my spare guest room.

I forgot that fairytales don’t exist though because just as I’m about to get everything I want, including the prince, I find out there’s someone in Prince Adrian Marx’s life I don’t know — his fiancee.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ This one hurts

From New York Times bestselling author Kristen Callihan comes a smart, emotional contemporary romance about finding love with the most unlikely of people.

As kids, they hated each other. Macon Saint was beautiful, but despite his name, Delilah knew he was the devil. That he dated her slightly evil sister, Samantha, was no picnic either. When they broke up, it was a dream come true: Delilah never had to see him again.

Ten years later, her old enemy sends a text.

Delilah’s sister has stolen a valuable heirloom from Macon, now a rising Hollywood star, and he intends to collect his due. One problem: Sam has skipped town.

Sparks still sizzle between Macon and Delilah, only this heat feels alarmingly like unwanted attraction. But Delilah is desperate to keep her weak-hearted mother from learning of her sister’s theft. So she proposes a deal: she’ll pay off the debt by being Macon’s personal chef and assistant.

It’s a recipe for disaster, but Macon can’t stop himself from accepting. Even though Delilah clearly hates him, there’s something about her that feels like home. Besides, they’re no longer kids, and what once was a bitter rivalry has the potential to be something sweeter. Something like forever.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Short and (not so) sweet

Unbreakable. Lethal. Rip-your-heart-out fine.
Now let me tell you about him…

Oliver Major was the only lunk brave enough to tame me.
Strict. Rich. Deliciously handsome. The right kind of scary.
And the scary kind of right.
He was my rugged oasis in high-stakes corporate hell.
The day he disappeared without a trace sheared my soul.

Years later, I’m on a date with destiny.
A risky mission seeking answers to my train wreck of a life.
Then a little tip from Heart’s Edge blows open the shocking truth.
What Galentron Inc took from me isn’t gone.
Maybe I didn’t sign myself over to the devil for nothing.

Think this is my big redemption?
Think again.
Behind every villainess, there’s a story.
Beneath every ice princess, an old flame.
And once, there was a man who stole my heart.

The same big bad protector who’s come back to haunt me.
Oh, the things I’d give to taste Oliver one more time…
…but how can I ever forgive him?

From Wall Street Journal bestselling author Nicole Snow – the bad girl with a heart of stone rediscovers the hero she thought she’d lost. An unlikely Happily Ever After with a twist. Reading the previous Heroes of Heart’s Edge books first is recommended.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Serious and sexy

As Public Relations Manager for the Charleston Thrashers, I’m responsible for protecting the team’s reputation. But after our right fielder gets sent to prison and we lose the World Series, my own reputation takes a huge hit. There’s only one way I can save my job: by revamping Connor Whitman’s tarnished ex-con image. Keeping my eye on the ball isn’t a problem until I discover what’s underneath his unkempt exterior—a man who’s unexpectedly vulnerable and distractingly sexy. Now, my professionalism is sailing far into foul territory.

I’ve served my time, and now I’m determined to reclaim my spot in the Thrashers’ outfield. Unfortunately, the new General Manager doesn’t want an aging ex-con on the roster, so I have no choice but to go along with Allison’s annoying scheme. Her bossiness drives me crazy—but so do her legs and her hair and her all-too-rare smiles. I can’t afford to fall for anyone when my focus needs to be on baseball, but love is a game I’ve never played before, and for the first time ever, I’m out of my league.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Small town sexiness

The fact was he wasn’t over her at all. Nowhere near it.

Life’s been a wild ride for Delaney Reynolds, the sexy home renovation star Property Ace. But a setback lands him home in Madison Ridge, working with his first love turned enemy.

Real estate mogul Addison Davenport must fulfill her late father’s legacy. Unfortunately, his will requires she work with her ex-fiancé, the man who left her for reality stardom.

Delaney is persuasive, reminding Addison why she once loved him, but shadows of their past haunt their present bliss. Can the scorned lovers rebuild a lasting foundation or will it fall like a house of cards?

Author’s Warning: A second chance romance with a feisty heroine, a generous hero in a tool belt, a protective yet lazy dog, a very public grand gesture, and sexy times involving a sturdy dining room table.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Not my favorite

BAD IDEA #241: Sending a dirty text to your number neighbor.

In my defense, my friends did it too, and their neighbors took it as the joke it was.

Mine didn’t.

He responded with a dirty text of his own. Next thing I know, I have a standing texting date every night at ten-thirty.

Until I have to miss it because the stray kitten who adopted me one week ago is sick. The only person I know who can help me at this time of night is my British next-door neighbor and local vet, Isaac Cooper.

I’ll keep him overnight, he says. Here’s my number to call me in the morning, he says.

The problem?

I know that number.

Because I’ve been texting it every night for the last four days…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Good guy hero

There’s something so simple about dating the guy you know will hurt you, don’t you think? There’s no risking your feelings. No wondering whether your past will affect your future.

Hello, my name is Sadie, and I am addicted to dating the wrong guy. Self-absorbed, cheaters, dangerous—you name it, I’ve dated it.

Until I meet him. Makai Fleetwood. Six foot plus change. Brown eyes. Killer smile. Hair so luscious it makes my insides quiver. A hairdresser’s wet dream (that’s me; I’m the hairdresser). A good guy.

Friendship blooms. Then trust… I’m falling hard for the first time since my sister died and my world came crashing down around me. Allowing someone into my shattered heart. If only our lives weren’t like an onion. The layers too innumerable to count.

Is he really prince charming, or my worst decision yet?

Best of March

I was kinda stingy with my 5-star ratings in March, but the books that managed to rise to the challenge were EXCELLENT, and they’re from a pretty eclectic bunch of authors. It seems like the books I was looking forward to the most let me down, and the ones that snuck under my radar rose to the top. Check out the full list here.

New Month, New Deals

It’s a new month, and that means there are a LOT of new Kindle deals! There are some really good books on sale that are either FREE or $1.99 or less that I’ve reviewed over the past year, so now’s the time to snatch them up! I’ve collected a list of some of the best deals from authors that I’ve read and enjoyed – view it here.

Up Next:

Next week brings a fantastic debut novel (sort of like The Hating Game on steroids), an emotional romance from Kelly Elliott, a rom com from Sara Ney, a sports romance from Stacey Lynn, and many more.
