This week’s releases were full of surprises – both good and bad. It seems like the ones I was most excited about let me down, and the one that flew under my radar shot to the top of the pack. That being said, I had HIGH expectations for a few of these books (the authors are extremely talented), so it’s understandable to experience a little disappointment. I actually considered rating ALL of this week’s books 4 stars – or higher – but ultimately couldn’t do it. That’s definitely one flaw of the 5-star system – the quality of the writing may warrant a 5-star rating when the plot does not.
I can assure you that there is a lot of good stuff coming your way next week. It’s a BUSY release week, so get ready for lots of reviews!!! If you read my Teaser Tuesday post (found here), you already have an idea of what’s coming next week, but there are definitely some releases I’m excited about!
If you missed any of this week’s reviews, I’ve got the blurb and rating for each below. There’s also a link to my list of 15 One-Click Rom Com Authors and my Deals and Steals list.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Back half sours otherwise phenomenal read

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Didn’t love the hero
A sweeping, second chance standalone romance!
I was pretty good at living without regrets until a way too close call during a skydive. Instead of my life flashing before my eyes, I saw one face, one regret that’s been gnawing at me ever since—Presley. The woman I loved madly ten years ago. The woman I had to walk away from.
At first, all I want is to sort out why I can’t get her out of my head. But as soon as I see Presley again, I know I have to win her back at any cost. Brilliant, captivating and utterly beautiful, she’s the one I want.
Fate steps in when we’re asked to pair up to find a treasure in art and antiques. It’s an opportunity I can’t pass up—to uncover a path back to the woman I let get away while we chase down a love story a hundred years in the making.
Trouble is, Presley is tougher now, more wary, and she’s been hurt. By me. So it’s going to take a whole lot more than one hot kiss and a wild adventure together to convince her to give me a second chance.

15 One-Click Rom Com Authors
While I’ve always loved rom coms, I’ve found myself seeking them out with a much higher frequency since the start of social distancing. They’re great escapism – light, easy reads that make me laugh and smile, even if I’ve had a rough day. Some are sexy, some are tame, but none of them linger on the angst for long.
Over the years, I’ve discovered countless skilled rom com authors, but I can purchase the following 15 authors’ work without hesitation (sometimes even without reading the blurb!) and know that I’m in for a good read. Check out the full list here.
