⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ REVIEW: Every Little Promise by Lexi Ryan

Man, oh man, I cannot WAIT to read the conclusion to this love story! Lexi Ryan has set up one intriguing relationship, and I can already tell that the full-length book is going to be one angsty, complex read. This prequel novella gives you insight into this second chance romance as our couple reunites at a Vegas nightclub after ten years apart. Mixing flashbacks with present day, we get a taste of what the relationship between them is like as they steal one night together before reality sets in.

The story follows Marston, a self-made man who came from the wrong side of the tracks. He’s now a successful businessman, but back when Brinley knew him, he was just a teen with a troubled home life. Marston’s always felt like he’s not good enough to be with the daughter of such a wealthy family; the good girl destined for someone worthy of her, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t make the most of the time they had together. As they see each other again, it’s obvious that feelings still linger for them both, and they’ve got one night to put aside all of the history between them and focus on the chemistry.

This isn’t my first read by Lexi Ryan, so I already knew that Marston and Brinley’s love story was going to be an angsty ride, but this hints to all of the ways their relationship is going to be complicated in their full-length love story. There’s an element of mystery to the backstory that will be explored in depth later on, and it has the potential to be a huge problem for them. It’s a sexy, engrossing read that will definitely get you interested in finding out more about this couple. The only reason I held back from calling this 5 stars is because it felt like a few things needed to be addressed between them before moving forward, and I know that all of that will be dealt with in the full-length novel, but there was definitely a step missing for me. Our heroine is also holding back some secrets that have the potential to be problematic in a big way, so I’m curious to see how that’s all handled. All I know is that I want more from this couple, and I can’t wait to see where this goes next.

You can get this prequel novella for free right now! Marston and Brinley’s full-length love story, Every Little Piece of Me, releases on May 19th. I’ll have my book review of that up later this week!

BLURB:

One night in Vegas. One shot at a second chance.

When I fell in love with Brinley Knox, she was the spoiled daughter of the wealthiest family in Orchid Valley. I was the troublemaker orphan, brought to town to find the straight and narrow.

She was the homecoming princess. I was the hired help.

She was the perfect daughter. I was the cautionary tale.

We were young enough to think we could beat the odds. Naïve enough to think the world would make room for true love. Neither of us was prepared for the bitter cold of reality.

I haven’t seen her for ten years. Until tonight.

Face-to-face with a woman who should be a stranger, I recognize the heart of the girl I never stopped loving.

She’s giving me one night. I’m betting everything on making it more.

From New York Times bestselling author Lexi Ryan comes a sexy and emotional new story. Every Little Promise is a 28,000-word prequel to Every Little Piece of Me.

Every Little Piece of Me releases May 19th

It’s not every day you’re invited to your wife’s wedding . . . as a guest.

The first time I saw Brinley Knox, she was crying, draped in a ridiculous pink tulle dress for her sweet sixteen, and cursing the boy who’d broken her heart.

I was the hired help, a teenage charity case.

She was the daughter of the wealthiest family in Orchid Valley.

I knew a girl like Brinley was off-limits. That didn’t stop me from kissing her. Or from promising that if she were ever mine, I’d never let her go.

The last time I saw Brinley, she was sleeping, tangled in the sheets of my Vegas penthouse, my diamond glittering on her finger.

I returned three hours later to an empty bed, the ring on the dresser, and a goodbye note.

We haven’t spoken in the six months since, but I’m not the kind of guy who’d file for a divorce he doesn’t want.

Until I got this damn invitation, it never occurred to me that Brinley didn’t remember our impulsive Vegas nuptials.

It’s time to return to Orchid Valley and remind the bride-to-be that I’m a man who keeps his promises.

Every Little Piece of Me is a sexy, standalone second-chance romance in New York Times bestselling author Lexi Ryan’s all-new Orchid Valley series.
