⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ REVIEW: Sweet Spot by Rebecca Jenshak

I really, really enjoyed it. This one will give you all the warm and fuzzy feelings, with a couple who just FIT, and a relationship that builds in a natural progression. There are touches of steam, but it’s much more about the emotional connection and the shared interest in golf (this is a VERY sporty romance, just FYI). There are only a couple of things that made me waver on my rating (more on that in a minute), but overall it’s a light, low angst read that will brighten your day.

The story follows Keira, a college golfer who is frustrated with her coach. After one bad tournament, he seems to have given up on her. So when she meets swing coach Lincoln, she makes assumptions about him. But it’s not long before Lincoln wins her over, and they settle into a mentor/mentee relationship as Keira builds up her skills. Lincoln is a little older, a total workaholic, and fresh off a divorce, so he’s hesitant to start up anything with Keira, but there’s no denying the attraction that sparks between them.

I loved how likable and relatable both Keira and Lincoln are – they lead very different lives, but there’s an obvious connection. They share a love of all things golf that is the heart of their relationship, but they also make each other better people. I will say that the blurb does not do this book justice. While I’ve enjoyed Jenshak’s work in the past, I picked this one up because I love enemies to lovers romance, and this is definitely… not that. It’s light and low angst from start to finish, with a definite sweetness to the story. Lincoln is a workaholic, but he is a good guy through and through. Readers should also be aware that this is an age gap romance (21/30) where our hero is in a mentoring position, which I felt uncomfortable about a couple of times, but was a non-issue for the most part. This one sits solidly between 4 and 5 stars for me – even as I write this, I’m still debating between the two. Lincoln definitely frustrated me towards the end, which extinguished the spark a little, but I enjoyed this from start to finish. I was upset every time my reading was interrupted because I couldn’t wait to get back to the story… and that’s what tells me this was a 5-star read. I’m absolutely looking forward to more from the author. I received an ARC via Wildfire Marketing Solutions and am voluntarily leaving a review of this sweet sports romance.

A hot-headed college golfer falls for her swing coach in this fun and sexy sports romance.

Lincoln Reeves may be a pro golfer and revered swing coach, but when I meet him, he is just one more person telling me I’m not good enough.

So, I do what any girl in my position would do. I tell him to get lost and take his arrogant, annoying smirk with him. I never expect to see him again. I certainly don’t expect to run into him that same night after one too many tequila shots.

Turns out that he’s kind of a big deal. Okay, fine, a really big deal. In fact, he might be the one person who can take my game to the next level.

Convincing him to help will be difficult.

Not throwing my club at his handsome face when he makes me work harder than I thought humanly possible will be excruciating.

But not falling for him will be the hardest thing of all.
