This week was hit or miss for me, I’ll be honest. I read a book by a new-to-me author, Louise Bay, whose work I will definitely be checking out more of. I also read books by a few favorites that were a little disappointing. It happens. After a FANTASTIC June, I was bound to hit a bit of a slump at some point. That being said, I spent the holiday weekend reading several books that don’t release for a few weeks – and there is some awesome stuff on the way! I’m also halfway through a new release that is EXCELLENT so far, so stayed tuned for a new review soon.

If you read my Teaser Tuesday post (found here), you know that there are a ton of new books releasing next week. I read another new-to-me author whose work had me completely engrossed, so I can’t wait to check out more of her work. I’ll have lots of reviews going up throughout the week!

If you missed any of this week’s reviews, I’ve got the blurb and rating for each below. There’s also a link to my list of the 10 July Releases I’m Most Excited About and this week’s Deals and Steals list.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Serious and sexy

Dexter Daniels prefers gems over women. Emeralds over girlfriends. Diamonds over marriage.

He might be the most successful jeweler of his generation, a loyal friend and some say the most handsome man in London, but his past means he doesn’t deal in love.

When Hollie Lumen enters the ballroom where exquisite royal jewels are on display, she brings Dexter’s world to a screeching halt.

Despite her hand-me-down dress and borrowed shoes, Hollie is even more stunning than the jewelry.

Feisty, funny and ferociously independent, she’s all Dexter can see. Hollie Lumen can’t catch a break.

She thought an internship in London was her chance to escape her responsibilities back in Oregon and for her dreams to come true.

When she’s fired only a few weeks after touching down, she’s ready to give up and go home.

Hollie never asks for help.

She knows the only person she can rely on is herself.

So what’s she going to do about the tall, dark, handsome stranger who keeps rescuing her?

She’s going to rescue him right back.

Mr. Knightsbridge is a stand-alone romance.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Good, not great

A twist of fate proves wildly explosive in New York Times bestselling author CD Reiss’s smart and sexy Hollywood romance about the cost of running from your past to get to your dreams.

Cutting all ties, Kayla Montgomery drives cross-country to Los Angeles. New start. New life. And an unexpected new job: assistant to Justin Beckett.

The Justin Beckett.

The boy band rebel with the cocky attitude and dreamy bed head who casts a spell over his fans and tests the patience of his handlers.

Now at the peak of Mount Adulthood, he has to build a clean-cut, movie star image. It’s in his contract. No partying. No attitude. No groupies.

To tie it together, he needs a normal girl.

Suddenly, Kayla’s swept up in Justin’s glamorous world, and his arms. But the most dizzying thing is Justin himself. Sweet, generous, reliable, and as eager to shed his past as Kayla is hers.

About that…

Those ties she thought she’d cut? They’ve followed her across the country with her secrets in tow, and they’re about to test Kayla’s courage, Justin’s loyalty, and a love that wasn’t part of the deal.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sexy tease

Look, I didn’t go out of my way to sleep with my next-door neighbor.

It just happened.

On the counter. Over the counter. Probably under it, too, if we hadn’t moved it to the bedroom.

But take it from me: a one night stand with your neighbor?

It’s not all it’s cracked up to be…

The One Night Stand Next Door is a short, flirty, and dirty prequel to The Girl Next Door. You don’t have to read it before you dive in to The Girl Next Door, but why wouldn’t you?

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Angst overload

He said I taught him how to dream.

Maybe he taught me, too.

But when fate brings the strongest man I know to his knees, dreams aren’t enough to save us.

But true love doesn’t fade to silence after a single verse.

Tyler and I have one last chance.

And the power to decide how this ends.

A tragedy for the ages.

Or the perfect ending to the most beautiful song ever written…Ours.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Steamy but not 100% satisfying

You know that instinct to run when something bad is coming?
Yeah. I apparently missed out on that one.
Because Damon Rose came, and instead of running, I got pregnant.

Yes. I remember Chelsea Cross.

I remember five years ago when she thought she could handle me.

Proving her wrong was… enjoyable.

With hair I wanted to fist. A mouth that only stopped when I kissed it. A body that I needed to press against the nearest wall and claim.

And now she wants a job.
A smart man would say “no”.
Or, I could teach her the same lesson I taught her five years ago.

She can’t even begin to handle me.

Author’s Note: Buckle up for the ultimate bosshole in this steamy, workplace romantic comedy with a sassy heroine and a stubborn grump who wants to ruin her day.
