⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ REVIEW: Manfax by Jacob Chance

Quick and easy, this short, sexy read flies by. It’s low angst and playful, featuring a manwhore who has met his match and the woman who knows way too much about his background to fall for his charms – or so she thinks. There’s a definite instalove vibe, but I enjoyed seeing this playboy fall head over heels. It’s the kind of light read that will keep you entertained but probably won’t leave a lasting impression, and it’s easy to devour in one sitting.

The story follows Roxanne, a woman who runs a business that does background checks for potential daters. When four different women request a “manfax” on the same guy within a short period of time, Roxanne wonders what they all see in him. That is, until she meets him in person. Adam is confident, cocky, easy on the eyes, and a recent addition to her group of friends. There’s an instant spark between the two, and Adam finds himself pursuing Rocky in a way he never has anyone else. But neither of them do commitments, and Roxanne knows better than to get mixed up with a guy that she’ll have to see all the time.

I liked it, but there was never a time when I was completely invested in the relationship. Adam is definitely aggressive in his pursuit (probably too much so), and it felt largely sexual for much of the story, despite being a slow burn. This is a light, easy read that moves at a rapid pace, and will be for those readers who don’t mind a more instalove vibe. I did like how focused Adam was and that there wasn’t any major OW drama, despite his playboy past. He’s into Roxanne from the moment he meets her, and there’s no stopping him after that. One small sticking point for me? While past condom use is mentioned, these two don’t seem to discuss protection at all. And considering the whole premise is that we know what a manhoe Adam has been, that felt like a big miss. Overall, it’s a solid read for those looking for something quick and easy. It had nothing major holding me back from enjoying it, but was also missing that extra something to get me hooked. I received an early copy via Enticing Journey and am voluntarily leaving a review of this low angst romance.

Manfax: A detailed report containing information about a potential boyfriend/girlfriend’s romantic history.

What is it about this bad boy that has women clamoring to date him?

Adam Winters is like an ice-cold drink of water on a scorching day—he goes down like a champ.

Tall, built, and handy, he’s irresistible and he knows it.

After my company runs numerous Manfax reports on him for half the women in the city, I learn he’s a commitment-phobe. And did I mention he’s my best friend’s future brother-in-law?

Forced to spend time together, he lays on the charm, and I do my best to remain unimpressed.

But the more I get to know him, the harder it is to ignore our chemistry.

Even though I know he looks terrible on paper, he looks damn fine from every other angle.

Will this sexy contractor chip away at the walls around my heart, or will he hammer them to pieces?
