WEEKLY WRAP-UP: November 27th

It feels weird to say that only three new reviews went up this week, because I did a LOT of reading, lol. This was a quiet release week because of the holiday (Happy Thanksgiving, all!), but that is definitely NOT the case next week. I think I’ve read around 10 December releases already, and I’ve got a bunch more on my Kindle. So expect this wrap-up to be a bit more crowded next week. Regardless, this week’s releases were a fun mix. I loved the emotional and sexy Make Me Yours, the quirky Dashing Through the No had me laughing, and the short and sweet A Holiday Lift got me in the mood for Christmas.

If you read my Teaser Tuesday post (found here), you know that there are plenty more exciting books on the way next week – ESPECIALLY on the 1st. It’s a big, big release day and I couldn’t even fit in all of the books that I wanted to read. I’ll have reviews going up throughout the week!

If you missed any of this week’s reviews, I’ve got the blurb and rating for each below. There’s also a link to my End of 2020 Release Calendar and my Black Friday Deals and Steals list.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ SO GOOD

He’s my brother’s best friend.

The hot single dad next door.

And one accidental sext later, my massive crush on him is no longer a secret.

It’s my own damn fault. I’m thirty years old, for heaven’s sake. I’m a kindergarten teacher and a (reasonably) responsible adult. I should know better than to get tipsy and draft a fake text listing all the dirty things I wish Officer Cole Mitchell would do to me.

I wasn’t supposed to hit send.

He wasn’t supposed to see it.

And he definitely wasn’t supposed to text back telling me to go on . . .

Because after that, things escalate quickly.

Cole is everything I’ve ever wanted. He’s sexy and protective. A devoted father to his little girl. A dedicated cop the whole town adores. The kind of guy you can trust to keep his hands to himself, even when you’re desperately hoping he won’t.

I’m not the girl he thought he’d end up with, but after all this time, I might finally get the chance to say the words I’ve always dreamed of . . . make me yours.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Quirky comedy

‘Twas the week before Christmas and all through Summersweet,
Tess Powell was annoyed and wanted to retreat.
With a BIC in her hand and a frown on her face,
everyone knew she needed a break from this place.
Wanting the holiday to be nothing but the best,
Bodhi took his girlfriend to the mountains to rest.
While visions of fire happily danced in Tess’s head,
soon she would see she had everything to dread.
Crying kids, singing hippos, and a stalker with a van,
definitely wasn’t part of Bodhi’s evacuation plan.
But all he wanted for Christmas was for her to say yes,
to the question he kept asking with zero finesse.
With some help from new friends and their holiday cheer,
Tess and Bodhi get much more
than they asked Santa for this year.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Short and sweet

New York Times Bestseller Corinne Michaels brings a fun, sweet holiday short story.

All I want for Christmas… is to pretend the holidays do not exist.
That should be my tagline for life.
Another year with no one to kiss under the mistletoe.
Of course, it doesn’t help that after my last epic breakup, I hopped into the sack with the one man I should’ve avoided.
My arch-rival, Dean Pritchard.
Despite the fact that he didn’t bother calling after our night together, I can’t get him out of my head.
I am so on the naughty list.
But when a snowstorm traps us in an elevator, I can’t avoid my work crush any longer.
Will Dean be the lift I’ve needed for the holidays, or will Santa skip me yet again?

MARK YOUR CALENDAR: Remaining 2020 Releases

It’s almost the end of the year, but there are still some VERY exciting new releases on the way. There’s a great mix of books from some of my favorite authors as well as some by authors whose work I’ve been meaning to try. Many are highly anticipated reads for me, and I’m betting a few will make my best of the year list.

It can be incredibly difficult to keep track of all of the new releases each month, so I’ve put together a calendar to help you manage your TBR. The following books are the ones that are on my radar – I’ll be reviewing MANY of these throughout the month, so keep an eye out for new reviews! Check out the complete list here.

Black Friday Deals and Steals

It’s the biggest shopping day of the year and there are a ton of great deals going on, from Kindle books to devices to subscriptions and more. These deals are available for a VERY limited, often undetermined time only, so grab them ASAP – no guarantees that they’re still going on when you see this list. Check out the complete list here.
