We’ve got a pretty light release week coming up, so it’s the perfect time to get caught up on your TBR! This week ended up being slower than expected, and there are only a few big releases next week. That doesn’t mean they’re not quality reads though – there’s some good stuff on the way! And things pick back up in a big way the week after that. Take a peek at some of the books releasing in the next week below!
I reviewed the first installment of this series back in November and had every intention of continuing on, but it’s been over six months since the last book released, and what I thought was a duet turned out to be an extended series (I don’t think the author has actually said whether this is a trilogy or longer). So I’m probably not continuing on, but you can read my 4-star review of book one here. The series is solid, but I’m not a fan of drawing out that HEA, unless book one REALLY works for me.
June 12: Breach of Contract by Laramie Briscoe
Everett James Thompson
Known for my charismatic stage presence and being the oldest son of music royalty, I’ve always been able to do exactly what I want.
Front my own band? Become one of the powerhouses in the metal genre? Make a name for myself without using that of my parents? I’ve done all of it.
But when Brianna Jenkins walked into my life during a Vegas show, I knew without a doubt my carefully laid plans were over.
Getting married to her after a drunken night of debauchery should’ve been the worst mistake of my life. Instead? It’s the best decision I’ve ever made, and our record company thinks so too.
Or they did…
Brianna Jenkins Thompson
I’ve traveled the world, performed at Madison Square Garden, and sold out arenas everywhere. Nothing ever really made me nervous. That is, until I met EJ Thompson in Vegas. I needed liquid courage to talk to him, and that night changed my life forever.
Gone is the girl under her parents thumb, doing everything the record company tells her, and worrying constantly. In her place is a wife. A woman who knows her worth, standing beside the man who gave her his last name, his ring, and the confidence to let her voice be heard.
When the record company realizes just how much of a power couple we are; they serve us with a summons for breach of contract, expecting us to roll over.
But there’s two things they can’t silence. Our voices, and our love.

June 15: Very Sincerely Yours by Kerry Winfrey
A charming and heartwarming new romantic comedy by the acclaimed author of Waiting for Tom Hanks, Kerry Winfrey.
Teddy Phillips never thought she would still be spending every day surrounded by toys at almost thirty years old. But working at a vintage toy store is pretty much all she has going on in her life after being unceremoniously dumped by her longtime boyfriend. The one joy that she has kept is her not-so-guilty pleasure: Everett’s Place, a local children’s show hosted by Everett St. James, a man whom Teddy finds very soothing . . . and, okay, cute.
Teddy finds the courage to write to him, feeling slightly like one of the children who write to him on his show. He always gives sound advice and seems like he has everything figured out—and he pretty much does: Everett has a great support system, wonderful friends, and his dream job. But there is still that persistent feeling in the back of his mind that something is missing.
When a woman named Theodora starts writing to Everett, he is drawn to her honesty and vulnerability. They continue writing to each other, all the while living their lives without meeting. When their worlds collide, however, they must both let go of their fears and figure out what they truly want—and if the future they want includes each other.
June 15: The Layover by Lacie Waldon
An unexpected tropical layover with her nemesis turns a flight attendant’s life upside down in this witty, breezy debut romantic comedy about life–and love–30,000 feet above the ground.
After ten years as a flight attendant, Ava Greene is poised to hang up her wings and finally put down roots. She’s got one trip left before she bids her old life farewell, and she plans to enjoy every second of it. But then she discovers that former pilot Jack Stone–the absurdly gorgeous, ridiculously cocky man she’s held a secret grudge against for years–is on her flight. And he has the nerve to flirt with her, as if he doesn’t remember the role he played in the most humiliating night of her life. Good thing she never has to see him again after they land….
But when their plane encounters mechanical problems, what should have been a quick stop at the Belize airport suddenly becomes a weekend layover. Getting stuck on a three-hour flight with her nemesis was bad enough. Being stranded with him at a luxury resort in paradise? Even with the sultry breeze and white sand to distract her, it will take all the rum punch in the country to drown out his larger-than-life presence.
Yet the more time Ava spends with him under the hot Caribbean sun, the more she begins to second-guess everything she thought she knew about him…and everything she thought she wanted from her life. And all too soon, she might have to choose between keeping her feet on the ground and her head in the clouds….
June 17: Texas Orchids by Samantha Christy
I’m a city boy, not a cowboy.
I’m way out of my league on a horse ranch in Texas.
Falling for the sexy horse vet was never my intention.
Especially when I find out she could be dating a killer.
Sneaking around with her?
Not my brightest idea, but someone’s got to protect her.
It’s just one summer. One casual fling.
Until it becomes everything but.
If you fell in love with the Mitchell sisters, you won’t want to miss this next-generation series. It’s sexy, sweet, and suspenseful all rolled into one.
