Best reading week I’ve had in months! I’m happy to report that September has been pretty great for new releases, and this week was the best one of all. Three out of these six books were 5-star reads, and two are serious contenders for my Best of the Year list (The Love Hypothesis and Falling in Reverse). First Love, Take Two was also a very solid read, a rare second chance romance that actually worked for me. For Love or Honey and Maverick were both pretty good, while Faking It With #41 was just okay. And let’s not forget the awesome covers! There are some great ones in this bunch – I may not have loved Faking It, but that cover is fire!

Delicious Irish accent. Built like a slab of marble. Infuriatingly controlling.

Fake.
Being the heir to Jacobs Enterprises, I’ve been around fake people my entire life. I promised myself a long time ago that I wouldn’t change for anyone. Which is the only reason I’m a professional hockey player who lives on the beach and does as he pleases without answering to anyone—except my father.
And now, my daughter.
Being a single dad wasn’t in the plan but after a one-night stand who took off after the baby was born, this is my reality.

That’s when things get complicated. I thought I had her all figured out until I found out there was more underneath her judgmental sneers and eye rolls. It feels like everything is coming together for the future I really want—with Lena—until my past ruins everything.
