My reading week was all over the place! My favorite new release of the week was Just Haven’t Met You Yet… but I read my ARC copy a few months ago. It’s been so long since I’ve read the quiet and heartfelt romance/women’s fiction crossover that I kind of want to dive back in now. My second favorite book of the week, Wild North, is a series starter that released a few months ago. I’m glad that I finally got around to reading the unpredictable, unique read.
I’ve also been sneaking in a cute Christmas story between every serious book, so I’m getting into the holiday spirit. One Night with a Nutcracker was my favorite novella this week, a light and sexy read that can easily be read in an hour or two. I’m definitely a little “nicer” when rating Christmas novellas, so keep that in mind as the holiday season continues – Nutcracker received the same rating from me than Wild North, but Wild North is definitely the superior read! A Very Bossy Christmas was an all-around miss for me.
There are some exciting books on the way soon! It’s a very busy release week, and I’ll have reviews going up throughout the week.
If you missed any of this week’s reviews, I’ve got the blurb and rating for each below. There’s also a link to my new release list.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Romance/women’s fiction crossover
From the New York Times bestselling author of This Time Next Year comes a heartwarming and hilarious tale that asks: What if you picked up the wrong suitcase and fell head over heels for its mystery owner?
Hopeless romantic and lifestyle reporter Laura’s business trip to the Channel Islands isn’t off to a great start. After an embarrassing encounter with the most attractive man she’s ever seen in real life, she arrives at her hotel and realizes she’s grabbed the wrong suitcase from the airport. Her only consolation is its irresistible contents, each of which intrigues her more and more. The owner of this suitcase is clearly Laura’s dream man. Now, all she has to do is find him.
Besides, what are the odds that she’d find The One on the same island where her parents first met and fell in love, especially as she sets out to write an article about their romance? Commissioning surly cab driver Ted to ferry her around seems like her best bet in both tracking down the mystery suitcase owner and retracing her parents’ footsteps. But as Laura’s mystery man proves difficult to find—and as she uncovers family secrets—she may have to reimagine the life, and love, she always thought she wanted.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Quick and sexy
My name is Jake Sheppard and I’m ambivalent about Christmas and the Christmas-themed town I grew up in. But when I find out my late uncle left me an old barn and acres of land, the decision to return home to build my dream golf course is an easy one.
Imagine my surprise when I arrive and find out I have a squatter.
An incredibly sexy squatter, with wavy blonde hair, green eyes, a free spirit… and a herd of goats.
Lexi hates my guts. Apparently evicting a non-paying non-tenant and her goats weeks before Christmas is grounds for war.
Except Lexi’s version of war includes flinging her clothing at me and, as it turns out, I might be in way over my head with this girl…
Warning: Christmas in Reindeer Falls is more naughty than nice. These stories are over-the-top festive with merrily-ever-afters guaranteed. Novella length for quick holiday binge reading. Enjoy!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unique and interesting
From New York Times bestselling author, JB Salsbury, comes an angsty new romance with a bossy hero and woman who was born to survive.
To me, he was Grizzly.
To the world, I would learn, he’s someone else completely.
I should have died on that mountain.
But he rescued me.
More animal than man, he’s cold, distant, and fiercely territorial. He seems to hate me for simply breathing, and yet, he brought me back to life.
After my return to the city, I can’t stop thinking about him. His rough hands, intense glare, and the way he cared for me as if I meant something to him.
He tells me he’s dangerous. That I’m not safe around him. I would eventually understand why he warned me away. But by then it’s too late. My heart is his.

⭐️⭐️ Hot mess
“Sweetheart, I know exactly how to handle you.”
Those eight little words whispered in my ear by my boss were my undoing.
And what we did after he said them, most definitely landed me on Santa’s naughty list.
If there’s one man who can suck all the joy out of Christmas—it’s my boss, Damon Wells.
I should have known when fifteen minutes into our first interview, he told me that nothing about me stood out from the fifty other applicants.
Yet somehow, I’m sitting shotgun in his fancy sports car on the way to my family’s house for the week.
You’d think he’d show a little mercy this holiday season after my day from hell.
Car towed? Check.
Spilled coffee on my white blouse? Check.
Soaked in Chicago slush by a cab? Triple Check.
Instead, he threatens to fire me.
So now I’m stuck spending the holidays with my boss by my side…Until two minutes into meeting my family, Damon introduces himself as my boyfriend and my minor panic turns into a full fledged five-alarm holiday meltdown.
He wasn’t supposed to pretend to be anything.
He absolutely wasn’t supposed to stick his tongue down my throat when he promoted himself to fiancé in front of my entire family.
And I sure as hell wasn’t supposed to enjoy it.
Suddenly, our fake little fairytale is starting to feel too real when Damon slides my grandmother’s diamond ring on my finger.
The same ring I thought my ex was going to give me last year when he dumped me.
The same ex who shows up to my family’s holiday party.
All I want for Christmas this year?
To forget just how good my boss is in the bedroom before my heart starts to get other ideas.
