I really struggled to find reading time this week – I was way too busy doomscrolling – but there were tons of great releases. One of my favorite books of the year so far, Hook, Line, and Sinker, came out this week. I posted my sneak peek review awhile back, and I’ve still got such swoony thoughts about the book. Another new release, Terms and Conditions, threatened to steal its spot at the top of my list. The marriage of convenience/office romance was right up my alley, and this new-to-me author made quite an impression. I also enjoyed the mega steamy The Billionaire, which brought the heat in a big way. Rounding out the list is the women’s fiction/romance crossover, By Any Other Name, another book that I posted a sneak peek review of awhile back. It had a great concept, but the execution failed to hit the mark.
Fun fact: the last time I was doomscrolling this much, it was early 2020 and I created the first deals and steals list to avoid the news. We’ll see if I can get back to reading next week or if there will be extra lists on the way, lol! The good news is that I have a lot of exciting March ARCs and the right book can hold my attention (I’m looking at you, Terms and Conditions). If I catch up on my backlog of partially read ARCs, there will be a lot of reviews on the way. This mood reader sometimes knows it’s not you, book, it’s me, and comes back with fresh eyes another day… I may or may not have six partially read new releases on my Kindle at the moment. Oops.
