We’ve got a little lull in new releases around the holiday weekend, but then things pick right back up on Tuesday! It’s a good week to catch up on your TBR and make room for all of the great books coming in June. In the meantime, there are a few intriguing releases out soon. Take a peek at some of the books releasing in the next week below!
May 31: You’re My I.T. by C.N. Holmberg
Dice meets derby in a new contemporary romance novel by bestselling author Charlie N. Holmberg.
Fourth try’s the charm… or is it?
The first guy Blaine ever confessed her feelings to dismissed her. The second made her friendless. The third, a viral internet sensation.
And Blaine is praying the fourth will be different.
After two years of pining for the aloof and secretly hilarious IT guy at work, roller-derby-warrior Blaine creates a master plan: after Lysander returns from his transfer in California, she’s going to spill everything. And why not? She’s got a killer undercut, thighs of steel, and shares his love for superheroes. In her book, they’re a match made in heaven.
Lysander has enough self-esteem to fill a thimble and has always struggled with his place in the world. When his father has a health scare, Lysander takes charge of his own, and consequentially loses fifty pounds. Suddenly the people around him think he’s worth his space—especially the women. And when Lysander fishes the literally shallow waters of dating and returns with a girl on his arm, Blaine fears she may have lost her chance with him entirely.
May 31: Offside with #55 by Piper Rayne
The last thing any professional hockey player wants is to be the old man in the game. The guy who doesn’t know when it’s time to retire. Still, I can’t bear the thought of leaving the game.
This past year I’ve reflected on all my regrets, and I told myself that once I retire it’ll be the time to find the right woman. But this is where it gets tricky.
I think I’ve found her—although she’ll deny our connection to anyone who asks. We’ve been sleeping together casually and since I’m still playing hockey, I’ve let her get what she wants—me—whenever she wants.
After being told my career as a player is over, the owner of Florida Fury grants me a shot to stay in the game. A coaching position I didn’t know I wanted until it was offered. The catch? He’s also passing the family business down to his daughter.
Who’s his daughter?
The woman who’s been in and out of my bed for the past year. Which means the woman I intend to make mine is now my new boss.
May 31: Shifting Gears by Melanie Moreland
Brett -The quiet loner. Content with life in his small town and a job he loves—except for the one thorn in his side.
Kelly—the world traveler that pops in and out of his life, taking a small piece of his heart with him every time.
Until the day she comes back, broken and adrift.
Can he show her there is more to life than bright lights and endless wandering?
Could his heart be enough to finally tame the restless need to run?
Or will she break his heart all over again and leave.
Author’s Note: A found family story that can help make the heart heal.
May 31: Mine to Have by Natasha Madison
Are you ready for The Southern Wedding Series?
Things are supposed to go smoothly on your wedding day.
Are you ready for The Wedding Series?
I promised him I would be there for the best day of his life.
Not thinking I wouldn’t be the one standing next to him.
But here I was attending the love of my life’s wedding day.
I smiled when I saw him and pushed back the tears that wanted to come out.
This was his day and I was going to fulfill my promise.
It was supposed to be the best day of my life.
But the second I got up, things started to fall apart.
The kitchen just caught on fire.
Flowers were from a funeral.
My bride-to-be just had an allergic reaction leaving by ambulance.
Oh and my ex-girlfriend just walked into the church.
They say you have to see the signs when they are right in front of you.
Maybe she was just mine to have.
