I love that these romance books often have enemies to lovers vibes, even if the reality of the situation is actually much more complex. There’s often sizzling sexual tension and fan-worthy spicy scenes, which showcase the evolving feelings between these couples. Forced closeness allows couples to break down barriers that they would’ve avoided completely if they had the choice, and I revel in the uncomfortable exchanges.
